It seems that Guildford is not the nice leafy town of my youth, but a rather nasty place to live.
If you’d have asked me at the turn of the millennium I would never have dreamt that I would be ordering 32GB CF cards. In the late 1990s I was shooting with a DCS3 (1.3megapixels) and 170mb Viper cards. By the time I moved to DCS520 bodies (2.0 megapixels) I was using 340mb Microdrives and the when the EOS 1D arrived I think I was shooting with 1Gb cards, so then fast forward to 2016 and now 32GB card are order of the day.
Travelled to Southampton to pick up a background rig & had some time to kill so wandered off to Calshot on the South Coast, I have never been there before, I just looked on the map to find somewhere on google maps that might be interesting. It wasn’t actually that interesting, and the sunshine was intermittent. There were lots of beach huts, but there was only about 5 people on the beach, including me.
