05/11/2014 Cleeve’s School Fireworks. Fireworks display by Dragon Fireworks of Ottershaw, designed by Wendy Harris & Barry Desborough
Looking forward to Fireworks displays, just hoping that it’s as nice as it was on the 5th, and not like the display I covered on the 8th November last year at Brockham, when it pissed down with rain the whole day & night.
Disappointing result this weekend…. Drove the Team Bus & stalled it, twice.. never been so embarrassed. However on a brighter note, although City lost the game, the scoreline really flattered the opposition. The best thing though is that the discipline instilled by the previous manager seems to be continuing with the new boss. No dissent, no bitching or whining. If the ref makes a decision, accept it & walk away. That is not to say that the players won’t stand up for themselves. In fact the fans seem to get more riled by poor refereeing decisions than the players, which is as it should be.
Looking forward to the next match at the Spectrum on Saturday. Bring it on!!
Since I last updated the blog, but today Guildford City pulled off a great win, however I had to be elsewhere covering a match between two of Guildford’s league competition. Camberley Town v Ashford, but that aside Well Done to the City team & their new management & their new players (as well as some of the faithful that stayed).
