More Power!!

More Power, that’s what I want. Always MORE!! You can never have enough. Whether it is battery power for your laptop or your digital camera.

So today I acquired a portable 12v Battery Booster/Power pack from Maplins.

The idea is that it will live in the boot being charged, and rather than run the mains inverter from the power socket I will use the portable powerpack, which, should I ever end up in a situation that the battery dies , I can fire up the portable power pack and boost the car.

I have also acquired a a micro-phone for the PDA and for the Ipod (with the iTalk) to record conversations, It is a stereo mic which is not alot of use with the iPod as it only records mono. But the PDA records phone calls very well with the built in microphone. Whilst it sits in the cradle in the car, a single key press and the recording starts. The iPod will be used for more discrete recording, the iPod fits in a pocket (or on a belt loop) and the microphone clips inside a jacket or fleece.

Playing recordings back on the ipod is fine, and transferring the resulting .wav file to the computer is simple. All conversations that are recorded and retained are then filed with the job, in the archive.

Why the sudden need to record conversations? You may ask, it is good practice, with this industry being 95% verbal agreements, evidential recordings are useful, especially when there is a breach of terms and conditions. For which breaches we charge additional penalty fees.

Anyway these pictures in this entry was created by more of the piss taking b*stards on F8andbethere.com, thanks a bunch, Terry Bunch and Shaun Bailey!!
