According to Security Minister, Lord West:
Al Qaeda is intent on using the internet to launch a cyber-warfare campaign against the UK, ministers revealed today.
Terrorist groups, which already use the internet for recruitment, propaganda and communication purposes, want to turn it into a dangerous weapon.
Security Minister Lord West issued the warning as he published the Government’s new Cyber Security Strategy aimed at heading off online threats
Trust me the internet is not a dangerous weapon, it is not like you can blow it up or hit someone with it. If, as the arsehole claims the National Grid is a risk from attack, you only need to unplug it from the internet.
Lord West also warned that owners of smart phones are at risk of losing vital information to hackers.
He revealed he is personally refusing to use any of the new generation of multi-media phones that are on the market
This dick head is obviously paranoid, he shouldn’t be the security minister, he should be fucking sectioned.
As part of attempts to beef up defences, a new Office for Cyber Security will be set up to co-ordinate Government policy.
Senior civil servant Neil Thompson will head the unit aimed at protecting the UK against hacking of individuals, businesses, and government.
A ‘cyber-forensics’ team based at GCHQ, the Government’s eavesdropping centre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is also being set up.
The Cyber Security Operations Centre will constantly monitor, analyse and counter cyber attacks as they happen.
So a new Governmental department to interferre and spend billions of pounds, and yet will accomplish fuck all. These arseholes have spent to much time watching TV, trust me, what you see on “24″ can’t happen and wont happen.
If you really are worried about that nasty internet, just pull the plug on it.
